Youth Encounter: Encountering God through Youth Fellowship
August 10, 2009Matagal na rin pala ng kami ay nagkaroon ng Youth Encounter (YE). It happened during my last year in Meralco Foundation Institute (now MFI Technological Institute) way back 2007. It was part of our school’s way of developing our emotional and spiritual growth.
It lasted for 2 days (nakulangan pa nga kami). We were put in total isolation from the busy world of the City and as far as I know, it was somewhere in Trese Martires in Cavite.
Our YE was one of the memorable times in my life. Hindi lamang nadagdagan ang aming pagkakakilala sa isat-isa, nagkaroon din kami ng pagkakaisa. Naging mas malapit din kami sa panginoon. Sa kabila ng mga simpleng activities, malaki ang naitulong ng mga aral na hatid nito sa amin..
Ang sumunod na tula ay gawa ko ilang araw pagkatapos ng aming Youth Encounter.
Nariyan ka
Ang akala ko
Ako ay nag-iisa
Na sa mundong ito’y
walang kasama
Nag-iisa ako sa mga
bagyong dumadaan
Sa dilim ng gabi
naglalakad ng luhaan..
Ngunit ng dahil sa iyo
Lahat ay nagbago
Unti-unting lumiwanag
ang aking mundo.
Na sa mga problema
ay laging kasama
Handang makinig at dumamay
sa oras na kailangan.
Ipinabatid mo sa akin
na ako’y may halaga rin
Na may nagmamahal at
may nagpapahalaga.
Ako ngayon ay masaya
sapagkat nariyan ka
Alam kong ako’y di iiwan
kahit pa magpakailanman.

youth encounter is also memorable for me.. lahat ng YE parehas lang naman diba?hindi pwedeng magkaiba ang YE natin.. 4 days ang naging YE namin dito sa Puerto Princesa.. masaya at very fulfilling ang naging formation.. sana marami pa ang makapag-YE…
